About Eggs & Moore

If you’re the kind of person who believes a good day starts with good food, let me introduce you to Eggs & Moore Restaurant, a laid-back neighborhood restaurant sitting right at 221 Shiloh St, Pittsburgh, PA 15211, United States, where mornings feel unhurried and comfort comes standard. Walking in, the atmosphere immediately feels welcoming, the kind of place where locals chat over coffee and first-time visitors feel like regulars within minutes. The menu leans heavily into comfort food, but it does so with balance, offering familiar favorites alongside lighter, healthier options that don’t feel like an afterthought. Whether you’re stopping by for a quick bite before work or settling in for a relaxed dine-in experience, the kitchen keeps things simple, fresh, and satisfying. Coffee is always flowing, making it easy to linger a little longer, especially if you enjoy slow conversations paired with warm, hearty plates. For days when you’re short on time, takeaway is a convenient option, and delivery makes it possible to enjoy the same flavors without leaving home. What really stands out is how effortlessly the restaurant fits into different routines, serving as a casual breakfast spot, a reliable brunch stop, or even a midday comfort fix. Portions feel generous without being overwhelming, and the overall pacing encourages you to enjoy the moment rather than rush through a meal. The overall vibe stays easygoing and approachable, never trying too hard, yet consistently delivering what people actually want from a neighborhood restaurant. Eggs & Moore feels grounded in its community, focused on quality, and confident in its identity, which makes every visit feel natural rather than forced. If you appreciate straightforward food done well, friendly service, and a place that understands both indulgence and balance, this spot quietly earns its place in your regular rotation while staying refreshingly authentic.

Had a great brunch on a trip from out of town! Friendly staff and delicious food. We had the cinnamon roll pancakes and maple cream bacon waffle with a side of home fries. Everything was great. My daughter described the waffle as “fall off the bone” which was a compliment to how light and fluffy it was. Too bad we don’t live closer as this would be a regular spot for us!

My boyfriend and I stumbled onto this little hidden gem while visiting from out of town, and wow—what a find! We were seated right away and greeted by the sweetest mother-daughter waitressing duo, Ireland and Tiffany. Since we’re not local, we love asking for recommendations, and theirs did not disappoint. We tried the Mexican Scrambler, the Yinzer Scrambler, and a Banana Foster Waffle to share. Every dish was delicious, but that waffle… absolutely unforgettable. Tiffany gave us a little history of the restaurant, sharing how it all started with her sister’s dream. She also told us her dad makes the best waffles you’ll ever eat—and she wasn’t kidding. The Banana Foster Waffle literally melted in our mouths. I’m still thinking about it two days later! This spot is nearly two hours from our home, but we’re already planning a return trip so we can bring our child back to experience it. The food, the hospitality, and the heart behind this place made our visit truly memorable. Thank you, Ireland and Tiffany, for the wonderful service, and to the whole family for creating such a warm, welcoming restaurant. We can’t wait to come back!

In short: this is the platonic ideal of a breakfast diner, though do be aware of the busy times. In long: I dined here on two separate days. The portions are generous, the staff friendly, and the food is delicious. I can wholeheartedly say that the waffles are top-tier (be sure to ask about their specials) and their scramblers are excellent. It's hard to beat the atmosphere too, as the pictures in other reviews show. Be aware: This place is cash only, but there is an ATM nearby. Also, the church crowd starts arriving after 10 am on Sundays, so be sure to come early if you want to beat the crowds. But still, definitely worth a visit.
